Hello loves, I am posting my "Traveling Thursdays" early due to Turkey Day! Even though I am not cooking I'm sure I will be busy eating...and my posts for the next few weeks will probably need to be about exercise to work that turkey off my ***!!

This place is very random but nevertheless a beautiful site. Petra: A city carved in stone! This is located in Southwestern Jordan between the Red Sea on the south and the Dead Sea on the north. The word petra actually means rock. The mystery of this cavernous wonder has marveled viewers for ages.  In  1812 when Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt heard of the hidden city he disguised himself as an Arab to keep from being noticed and found the Ancient City of Petra.
