Secret Recipe Adventure

I had a funny cooking adventure tonight. Let me start off by saying I think I should get my eyes examined...I decided I was going to make chicken alfredo from Olive Garden's very own recipe. (I will share this with you at the end of this post) Some how I misread the recipe and confused the cloves of glarlic for ground cloves...I was in a hurry making to get my grocery shopping done so I could get started studying my online insurance licensing. I also forgot the chicken because they left it out of the recipe! I took out my measuring tools, they are the little spoons and cups all connected on one ring. Where it normally said 1/8 cup it now only says 1/8 on one of the measuing cups. Silly me, I thought it was 1/8 tablespoon measuring cup. So I put ALOT of pepper in my chickenless alfredo.

Please someone tell me a funny cooking adventure they had so I don't feel so bad!!

Olive Garden's Chicken Alfredo

1/2 cup or one stick of butter
2 cloves garlic minced
2 cups heavy cream
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Pinch salt
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 12 oz box fetuccine pasta

1. Melt butter in a medium sauce pan over medium/low heat.

2. Add garlic, cream, pepper and salt and bring mixture to simmer. Turn the heat down if mixture reaches a rapid boil or it could break. You just want to simmer. Add cheese and contiue to simmer sauce for eight minutes or until thick.

3. While sauce cooks bring 4-6 quarts of water to boil and add the pasta. Cook pasta for 12 minutes or until done then drain it.

4. Spoon pasta onto serving plates with alfredo sauce poured over the top
make 2-3 large servings.
